The Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S phones has begun rolling out in Canada. Bell has already posted details on their site on how you can upgrade the firmware of your Vibrant over here, and Samsung also brings glad tidings to those over at Virgin, SaskTel, and Telus.

The company has made several announcements over Twitter which will definitely brings smiles to those Galaxy S owners on these carriers eagerly waiting for the Android 2.2 update for their respective Android phones. First, the Froyo update for those on Virgin and SaskTel are out as well. This comes as no surprise since both carriers have the same Galaxy S smartphone as Bell, the Vibrant. The other good news relayed over Twitter is for Telus subscribers. They’ve disclosed that their now looking at a late December release for the Android 2.2 firmware update for both the Captive (Rogers) and Fascinate (Telus). The one for Telus was originally slated for an early 2011 release. This, however, will disappoint those on Rogers. Instead of getting theirs by mid-December, their Froyo update has been delayed to late December. Oh well, at least they’ll still get to enjoy Froyo goodness before the year comes barring any delays, of course. You can check out this announcement here.
