iPhone to Revolutionize Mobile User Interface

Safari BrowserBecause the iPhone will run Mac’s OS X, it will have the most advanced mobile user interface in the world. “It’s an ultramobile PC!” the live blogger at Stuff couldn’t help exclaiming. The look is iPod derived with touch control, which compelled Steve Jobs to dub it both a “revolutionary mobile phone” and “a breakthrough internet communications device”. The iPhone is not a smartphone(?) but in actual use it’s five years ahead of any existing handset. The “revolutionary” user interface can be modified by adding applications so instead of having a load of unused functions you’ll have a super-customized handset.

Apparently Jobs didn’t have time to think of the first words he was going to speak on an iPhone: “Johnny.”

Phone specs: 11.6mm in thickness, 3.5-inch screen, touch sensor, ambient light sensor, extra speakers at the bottom, a mic…

Web browser: Safari web browser, html email is supported

Imap push email, Google Maps… Wi-Fi. The phone automatically detects hot spots. The iPhone is a GSM/EDGE phone, with Bluetooth 2.0

Touch Function: use it like hand signals. Moving from one pic to another, simply swipe a finger over the screen (all very intuitive). To zoom in and out, use two fingers and move them together or apart. Bye-bye, Nokia Aeon.

Widgets: simply incredible-looking

SMS: looks like iChat

Bottom line: The iPhone is a phone for multitasking and combining entertainment and business (without being too PDA-like) in the easiest and freest way possible. It looks like iPhone users are going to enjoy the product very much. Price is $499 with a Cingular contract.
