Well, I did my best securing the necessary funds to make it to Nokia’s party in Hong Kong. Invites came last December 19. Nokia held concerts in five cities in different time zones to celebrate the new year: Hong Kong, Mumbai, Berlin, Rio, de Janeiro and New York. Hong Kong is only two hours away and I know enough of the city to find cheap lodgings for the event.
Playing at Nokia’s New Year Eve Party at Hong Kong are Atomic Kitten. They are not exactly the kind of musicians you hold a lighter to, but you can use the light of your Nokia screen. Song like “The Last Good-Bye,” “Ladies Night” and “Whole Again” would have really hit the spot for me after a rather trivial year. They even performed my all-time Atomic Kitten favorite “Be With You” some five minutes before midnight.
