The size and shape of the phone reminds us what a “compact” device should look like. It looks a little retro, but the phone isn’t probably going to be available to the public any time soon. There’s not a lot of information about this device except that the solar cells are on the outside of the flip top. We don’t know, for example, how hot the phone gets when it’s being solar-charged. Does it get as hot as ordinary lithium batteries? Hotter. Do we have to put it down someplace until it’s full charged? I have little experience with solar-powered device. I assume that an old memory of a solar-powered calculator is not really a proper comparison to a device as complex and as power-hungry as a cell phone.
