It’s a CDMA EV-DO handset available only in Japan, and oozes with the design sophistication we usually associate with Nokia, Samsung and LG. First of all, SE’s usually orange and white is gone, which is good news for people like myself who like what the Walkman phone has to offer but didn’t much care for SE’s distinctive colors (source).

The W44 boasts a 144 MB internal memory with expansion possibility provided by a Memory Stick Pro Duo slot. It’s also equipped with a 3-inch VGA screen which is a Bravia RealityMax technology, very suitable for the one-seg digital TV broadcast. Probably too hi-tech for consumers outside Japan and South Korea, other features of the W44 include a 3.17 megapixel CMOS camera.
