The i607 BlackJack Smartphone and the 8525 Pocket PC are new phones available with Cingular in the US. As we’ve concluded earlier, though Cingular’s Blackjack may not be the Blackberry killer that it’s touted to be, the Motorola Q may definitely be in for some real competition.
While the Blackjack is the cheapest smartphone running Windows Mobile, the 8525, manufactured by HTC, boasts enough processing speed to be the world’s most powerful pocket PC.
The 8525, available since Thursday, is Cingular’s first 3G-enabled PDA. It has built-in HSDPA, Wi-Fi, and you can slide the top part of the phone for the QWERTY keyboard. Other features include Bluetooth and a 2.0 megapixel camera.
