Treo 750The Palm Treo 750 smartphone has been cleared by the FCC and will be the first Palm product with Windows Mobile for GSM networks (source). Vodafone launched this Treo with Windows Mobile last September. There are other handsets in Europe with Windows Mobile but the Treo 750 has some unique and convenient customizations like the “today” homescreen with a Google search box, a quick link to your voicemail and a speed dial function that dials ahead as you type the name of your contact.

U.S. residents will get first dibs of the Treo 750 probably through Cingular. The Cingular version will no doubt incorporate the specs of the Vodafone version. It’s a quad-band, 128 MB flash memory, stereo Bluetooth, push email and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Lack of Wi-Fi is the Treo is seen as a problem in Europe. In the U.S., the Treo 750 will probably be shipped with embedded HSDPA support (source).
