Are Canadians Addicted to Their Mobile Phones?

According to a survey, some Canadians would rather give up their right to vote than give up their cell phone.

Of the 1,100 mobile users surveyed, 1 in 20 answered that they’d choose the right to use their mobiles over their right to vote in an election and 1 in 10 would rather see their mother-in-law gone than have their mobiles taken away.

The survey, a marketing campaign for the Treo 700wx smartphone, gives two sides of the round-the-clock connected life. On one hand, we’ve got people who can’t seem to turn their mobiles off and on the other we have those who are really up to here with the mobile freaks.
