After adding the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant to their line-up, SaskTel has just confirmed via Twitter that they too will have the BlackBerry Torch 9800 available soon to interested subscribers. They didn’t disclose though when they’ll be releasing it, but with others already announcing it’ll be hitting stores September 24th, it’s possible that it’ll be the same case with SaskTel.
Apart from being the RIM first device to run on their new BlackBerry 6 platform, the Torch 9800 is also the company’s first QWERTY slider. It’s equipped with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel AF camera with flash, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, and runs on a 624MHz processor.
Rogers, Telus, Bell, and Virgin Mobile have all announced they’ll be coming out with Torch 9800 on the 24th making SaskTel the 5th Canadian carrier to have this new RIM smartphone as part of their line-up.
