BlackBerry Pearl Arrives In Canada

rogers blackberry pearlThe smartphone just got smarter. Whereas the old Blackberry models are a cross between a PDA and a tablet laptop and look like it, the BlackBerry Pearl is sleek, thin and beautiful.

Exclusively distributed by Rogers Wireless in Canada, I won’t be too surprised if Canadian schoolgirls begin toting this powerful baby from RIM (Research In Motion) everywhere they go. I don’t blame them. With all the original BlackBerry features like the GSM phone, PDA storage applications and a full-functioning roaming e-mail, the BlackBerry Pearl will also include necessities like video and audio players as well as a 1.3-megapixel camera.

All of the above features are elegantly packed in a sleek 4.2 by 2 by 0.6 inch phone at only 3.16 ounces. The BlackBerry Pearl gets even cooler with its consumer-friendly with a trackball that lets you point and click anything on the screen, and it works almost as good as your PC mouse.

In America, T-Mobile has earlier included the Pearl in its network offerings. Rogers Wireless offers the storage, email and phone portability of the BlackBerry Pearl to Canadians for $249.99 with a three-year voice and data plan.
