Fido “Urban” Plans

According to Fido, 60% of its urban subscribers make the majority (97%) of their calls within their home area.
Enter – the “Urban Package”.
The Urban pack dishes out more minutes but limits the geographic area in which you can use those minutes.

Lets take the $30 per month plan for example. It buys you 400 anytime minutes and unlimited incoming calls. Minutes outside of your home city cost 30 cents. Long distance, no matter where you use your phone, is also 30 cents per minute.

Those rates are pretty attractive if you plan on staying close to home. However, if you travel outside your city a fair bit or burn up a lot of long distance, the Urban package probably isn’t for you.
