XM Radio on your Telus cell phone

telus xm radio partnershipSatellite radio on your phone – that’s what was announced today by Telus Mobility. The service, a first of its kind in Canada, offers users commerical-free XM radio streamed live to their cell phones.

Unfortunately its not the smorgsaborg of channels many XM listeners have grown to love. The Telus radio service is capped at 20 stations including: Bluesville, BPM, Chrome, Ethel, Flight 26, Fred, High Voltage, RAW, Real Jazz, Soul Street, Suite 62, The City, The Joint, The Rhyme, The Verge, Top 20 on 20, Top Tracks, U.S. Country, XM Comedy and XM Pops.

Not the best lineup in my mind, but if you’re desperate for RAW here’s what you’ll need to signup:

- An LG 8100 or Samsung A950 handset
- A free download of the radio application
- A Spark 25 feature bundle or $15 extra dollars per month of your hard earned money

I’m a Telus dealer and actually have XM on my Samsung 950 and despite the lack of channels,it’s
pretty good ! I encourage anyone with the LG 8100 and Samsung 950 to try it out (you get the first 2 months free, then you can cancel it if you don’t like it ! All you have to do is add the spark 25 bundle and you can get unlimited TV and XM radio free for, like i said, the first 2 months. I’ve only listened to a few channels thus far,but the one’s I have listenend too have been crisp and clear and have no skipped or stop streaming. Pretty good if you have the extra cash or if sat radio is a must !

I am also a Telus dealer and I use XM radio on all my demos in store, also I use the mobile TV and its working great.
As josh said, you take the spark 25 bundle for 2 months and if you dont likeit well you can just cancel it.
I sold a lot of Samsung A950 with spark 25 on it because people wanted something different and instead of listening mp3 in
the bus, they can just watch TLC, fox sports or listening the commercial free XM Radio!
