Following Bell’s announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant launch this Friday, Rogers is letting everyone know that they too will soon have a Samsung Galaxy S phone as part of their line-up to offer up interested subscribers. Posted over at the RedBoard, they revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate will be available soon, and will be the latest addition to their growing Android and Social View collection of phones. They didn't go into detail as far as its specs are concerned, but if it’s the same Samsung Captivate Android phone that's currently available on AT&T in the US, it should come with a 4-inch 480x800 resolution Super AMOLED display, 5-megapixel AF camera with 720p HD recording, WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, HSDPA connectivity, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot (up to 32GB via microSD card, 3.5mm jack, a 1GHz processor, and Android 2.1 as its OS.
Pricing is likewise still a mystery though you could use its retail price in the US ($199.99 on a 2-yr contract) as a clue to its possible on-contract price when it finally gets launched by Rogers in Canada.
