Opera Now Available For Your Cell Phone

Opera Mini is now available for your cell phone.

Opera is a favorite Internet browser among geeks, nerds and those who are generally tech savvy. It hasn’t surpassed Firefox as the favorite, but it is still way cooler than Internet Explorer. (Does anyone use Internet Explorer anymore?)

I gave Opera Mini a test drive on my Motorola V551, and found it to be far easier to use than the WAP browser that came with the phone. You can store bookmarks easily within the browser, or login to your del.icio.us account, and easily access bookmarks you have imported from your desktop browser.

Using Opera Mini is nearly as simple and convenient as using a browser on your PC.

Installation is a piece of cake, and hundreds of phones are supported. Just follow the links on the Opera website. You have a few different options for installation. I downloaded the .jar file to my Mac, and transferred the file to my Motorola V551 via Bluetooth. It only took a few seconds to install. If you can send text messages, you can use this browser.
