Keeping true to their word, Amazon has just released the Kindle for Android app, and just like the version for the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones, it’s completely free to download and use.
This should delight Android phone owners out there who either have or want to own a Kindle e-reader but find it a bit of a hassle to carry around a separate device just to read e-books. While probably not ideal for those phones with a small touchscreen, this will be a nice app to have on those Android phones with a 4-inch or larger display such as the HTC Evo 4G and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10.
Kindle for Android can already be found at the Android Market and is compatible with those Android phones running on OS 1.6 or higher. To read more about it, you can check it out here.
