Here’s an update on the leaked Galaxy S Pro we featured last week. Android Central managed get to score some new details about this upcoming Android phone form one of their reliable tipsters, and if it proves to be true, this Samsung QWERTY slider is another Android phone that’s worth watching out for.
Apart from supporting WiMAX connectivity and sporting a 5-row QWERTY keypad, this baby is also said to be running on a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor complemented by 512MB RAM and comes equipped with a Super AMOLED display (the size isn’t confirmed yet but speculation is it’s 4-inches, the same as that of the Samsung Galaxy S), 5-megapixel camera, 720p video recording, and WiFi b/g/n connectivity. It’s loaded with Android 2.1 with TouchWIZ 3.0 and supports both H.264 and DivX formats when it comes to video playback.
All of these are yet to be confirmed though, but this is as good as it gets at the moment. There’s also no assurance that this purported Samsung Galaxy S Pro handset will be getting an Android 2.2 update in the future, but based on its leaked specs, we’re optimistic that it’ll get its fair share of Froyo goodness down the road. We’re likewise still clueless as to when it’ll be launch though we are hoping it’ll happen much sooner than later.
