Woman Eats Phone – And She Wasn’t Even Hungry

I’ve been really angry before. I’ve even felt like a bit like throwing my cell phone from the car window as I argue with the the phone company while barrelling down the highway at 80 MPH… But I’ve never felt angry enough to actually try to eat my phone.

This girl must have been really ticked.

We’ve all been there. Your spouse or loved one drives you to the breaking point, and you have no other choice than to swallow their cell phone.

A Blue Springs, Missouri woman was the latest victim of cell phone rage. She swallowed her boyfriend’s mobile in mid-argument because “she didn’t want the boyfriend to have it,” according to a report in The Kansas City Star. The phone became lodged in the lady’s throat, and she was rushed to the emergency room.

“Police responded to a call about a non-breathing person about 4:50 a.m. in the 3000 block of Southwest U.S. 40,” the paper reported. “Police arrived and found that the 24-year-old woman was having trouble breathing. Her identity was not released.” The poor lass still had the phone wedged in her throat when she got to the hospital. ®

RETRACTION NEEDED, BOYFRIEND SHOVED PHONE DOWN HER THROAT DURING ATTEMPTED ASSAULT, GET THE STORY STRAIGHT

  • 2238 days ago

Nice article. Apparently you don’t have kids because if you did you wouldn’t have posted such a piece of sh*t article. This girl is someone’s daughter and the fact that you can make light of the situation is so sick. Are you sure that is what happened or are you going off of the first report that came out? Yes in fact you are because now this whole “cell phone swallowing” issue is being ruled an assault.

Have a Merry Christmas. I know her family didn’t because they were at their daughter’s bedside. Thank god they haven’t read the shit you’ve written. I am sure you’ll be a hell of a journalist one day. Good luck working for the Enquirer. Loser.

The idea that she swallowed the phone on her own doing was first reported by the Register. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/12/23/phone_throat/

If there is an article suggesting another side to the story, where might one find it?
