Morgan Stanley published a research note this morning, in which they mention that they are expecting Apple to introduce a new iPhone sometime next year. My hunch is that it will compete with the ROKR.

I doubt that Macintosh will make a heavy dent in the cell phone manufacturer arena, at least not for a while. In the Windows vs. All battle, Macintosh is poised to jettison the monolithic Microsoft from its global oligopoly on consumer electronics. Mac has been biding its time since the 286, and now it is ready to take over. More and more people are making the switch to Mac and Linux.
If you go to any local wi-fi hotspot and look around, you will notice more Mac users than PC users. The iPod is still the best selling MP3 player on the market, and iTunes is the most commonly used music store and player.
Already in development is a Mac PDA.
Get ready for the iPhone.
I can’t wait! Good Governor Johnson I can’t wait!
Will it be quad band GSM? Will it be CDMA? Both? Will it operate on HSDPA/UMTS or EVDO?
How much music will it hold? How big will it be? Will they make a version of the Blackberry? Will it have a touch screen? Clamshell or bar? Will you be able to sync it with your iPod?
What features do you want in your iPhone?
How likely are you to get one?
