I read about this awhile back somewhere. The pictures at Slashphone give you a good closeup of its texture. Really cool. I like to see this type of corporate good work. It shows NEC really cares about our environment and its bottom line–they are not mutually exclusive which big oil and others would love to make us think. Bu$h said at one point that the Kyoto Accord would make the American economy suffer. With innovation like this, don’t you think we might even grow? An entire new direction of innovation which would fuel responsible development and consumerism.
The article I read said that this phone is really brittle. I wonder if they figured that out. Do you know anything about this Audrie?
Lint. That’s a good question about the corn-based “plastic”. Is it brittle? I know they are making beverage containers now with corn. Hmmm. Anyone?? You think / know this will be brittle?
