Are you a fan of QWERTY handsets? How about Windows Mobile 6.5? If your answer to both questions is yes, then you might be interested in Rogers‘ latest mobile phone offering, the Samsung Messenger.

Also known as the Samsung Omnia Pro B7330, this Windows Mobile 6.5-based messaging phone packs a 2.6-inch 65k color 320×320 resolution TFT display, 3.2-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, 3.6Mbps HSDPA connectivity, and supports up to 32GB of memory via microSD card. It’s pretty modest in terms of features, but the good thing here is that it can be had for as low as $49.99 on a 3-year contract.
Opting to go for a shorter 2-year or single year contract will cost $299.99 or $349.99 respectively. The Samsung Messenger is retailing for $399.99 sans any contract. For more info, you can head on over here. For those not fans of Rogers, the Samsung Messenger is also available on Bell for free on 3-yr contract (minimum $45/month Voice and Data plan) up until June 30th. I was supposed to be given this phone for free when i was lied to and skamed by the samsung company itself. I had done a youth research project with a couple other students when we had teh phone given to us for a week and were to test it and tell them the flaws and strong pionts of the phone. We spoke face to face with thier advertising comany and we helped them with the launch in this phone. After a week of useing the phone charge free we were promiised to recive them when they firts come out as a complimentary copy. But what do you know?! This research project ended around teh begining of Marrch and we still haven’t recieved our phones. What a shame to be promised by such a big company I mean the least they could do is stay true to their word right? Awell I live another day…
And to make matters worse the youth program we worked with that linked us to the Samsung representatives went Bankruppt.
