Rogers ready to launch BlackBerry Storm 2? Seems like it

We’ve been hearing for the longest time that Rogers will be getting a BlackBerry Storm as part of their line-up, but it’s only now that we’ve got some sort of evidence of this actually happening.

Rogers BlackBerry Storm 2 ad

This ad from the March issue of the Canadian Business magazine obviously entices its readers to check out the new BlackBerry Storm 2, but what’s interesting to note here is the last sentence wherein it states “see all there is to see with BlackBerry Storm smartphones from Rogers and other major retailers.” There’s no mention though of a specific release date or pricing.

For the record, the BlackBerry Storm 2 has been available in Canada on Telus since November last year. That version is the BlackBerry 9550 and is a CDMA phone. The one that’ll be released on Rogers will most likely be the BlackBerry 9550 which is basically the GSM variant of the Storm 2. With the release of this ad, hopefully, an official announcement will be next.

If this storm 2 does in fact make it to rogers, what are the chances U.S. at&t customers may see the storm 2? Have there been any other updates giving possible release dates, or a list of carriers?
