Got a Nokia N97? If so, here’s a heads up for you. Nokia N97 firmware 21.0.045 is now available for your QWERTY-equipped touchscreen Nokia slider.
Aside from coming with the new Ovi Maps that supports free turn-by-turn navigation services, this latest firmware release also features better internet browsing, call reliability, and address an issue with kinetic scrolling which they introduced in firmware version 20.
Just fire up Nokia Software Update on your PC to download and install this on your Nokia N97 handset. We’re not quite sure what other treats it comes with so do hit us up in the comments section below if you discover any other enhancements this new firmware brings to the table.

It works! This is the first version of firmware where the N97 really starts to work like a proper smartphone. RSS feeds auto updating from the home page, email working properly, faster, brighter… thank goodness for firmware 21.0.045!
