Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha just confirmed that they are working on a Google phone which will also be sold direct to consumers just like Google’s first mobile phone offering, the HTC-made Nexus One.
This latest announcement lines up nicely with the recent rumor that the leaked Motorola Mirage (Shadow) will debut as the Google Nexus Two Enterprise phone. Unfortunately, he didn’t divulge any information about the particular handset so there’s still a possibility that it might not be the Motorola Mirage.
For what it’s worth, we’re at least now guaranteed of one Google phone that’ll be made by Motorola for launch this year. Will Samsung also hop on-board the Google phone bandwagon as well? Only time will tell.
