After deciding to offer up the BlackBerry Storm 9530 and Palm Pre for free on a 3-year contract basis, Bell is following it up by lowering the price of their BlackBerry Bold 9700 to just $149.95.
That’s $50 cheaper than its original price and now stands as the most affordable price for this particular RIM smartphone since both Telus and Rogers still have theirs retailing for $199 on similar term conditions. As a quick recap for those who are not familiar with this QWERTY phone, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 boasts of a 2.44-inch 480×360 display, 3.2-megapixel camera, optical trackpad, WiFi, GPS, 3.5mm jack and ships with a 2GB microSD card as part of the package.
