Fido offers up the LG Xenon for $75 (2-yr contract)

The LG Xenon is a touchscreen phone with a slide-out full QWERTY keypad that’s ideal for messaging aficionados. It’s been available on Rogers for quite sometime now and just recently also on Bell as well with the launch of their new HSPA network.

Now, Fido joins the two as the latest carrier to offer up this messaging device to interested subscribers in Canada. The Fido LG Xenon is retailing for as little as $75 with a monthly plan and 2-year contract. Opting not to sign up with any agreement or getting it on prepaid will cost $225. You can find out more about over at Fido.

Aside from its 2.8-inch touchscreen and QWERTY keypad, the LG Xenon also comes with a 2-megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, and an internal memory of 80MB expandable via microSD card (up to 16GB). It’s not the most feature-packed touchscreen QWERTY phone in the market today, but it’s a viable option for those working on a limited budget.
