Here’s an update on the HTC Passion touchscreen Android phone we talked about last October that’s headed for Verizon.
Digitimes reports that the launch of HTC Passion has apparently been pushed back to early 2010 from its original release date which was supposed to happen before 2009 comes to a close. On a good note, however, they did reveal some additional specs of the HTC Passion. Apart from running on Android and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, we now know that the Passion will also come with a 3.5-inch multi-touch capable OLED touchscreen as well. The OLED display is a nice touch, but we’ll be honest, the display size isn’t exactly what we were expecting considering that it’s being likened to the HTC HD2.
Anyway, it’s still too early to judge the HTC Passion especially since we’re just getting glimpses of its specs. Hopefully though, its release won’t be pushed back further to a date later than the 1H of 2010 on Verizon.
