motorola sholes tablet

Other sites have reported and posted snapshots of the rumored Motorola Sholes Tablet albeit limited to just some parts of it. Today, however, we’re glad to bring you guys the first full body pictures of this purported Motorola Sholes Tablet. This is considered as the QWERTY-less twin of the Motorola Droid (aka Motorola Milestone here in Canada) which is currently available in the US via Verizon.

Reported specs of the Motorola Sholes Tablet include a 3.7-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, 3.5mm jack, 550MHz OMAP TI 3430 processor, HSDPA connectivity, FM radio, and Android 2.1 as its OS. As you'll probably notice, except for the removal of the QWERTY keypad and updated Android software, its specs are almost identical with the Droid/Sholes/Milestone. It’s dubbed as the XT701 and is apparently scheduled for a China Unicom debut in the largest mobile phone market in Asia.

There’s no indication at the moment that this will be made available elsewhere, but if I were Motorola and am hell-bent on making a comeback in the mobile phone industry, I’d seriously consider unleashing this baby in the international market.
