It’s almost 6 months since the iPhone 3G S became official so it shouldn’t be surprising if news of a new iPhone are now starting to surface. We’re not sure if this latest bit of info courtesy of Mac Rumors falls under that category, but it certainly pertains to something new.
The guys behind the iBart app checked the data gathered by their analytic software on their app and was surprised to find out that a particular iPhone 3,1 was used to run it. Could this be the next iteration of the iPhone? Given at how last year’s iPhone 2,1 eventually turned out to be the iPhone 3G S, it’s highly possible. Known features of this iPhone 3,1 are pretty scarce at the moment, but if recent news will be our basis, this could be the iPhone that’s headed for Verizon.
Anyway, given at how Apple has consistently unveiled a new mobile phone every year since the release of their very first iPhone, you can bet your money that a new iPhone will again burn the headlines anew in 2010.
