After years of consumer enthusiasm for the latest in mobile phone technology, the number of units shipped went down 10% in the past year, analyst firm Gartner says.
While number one Nokia recorded a decline from 32.0 million to 31.5 million units between the third quarter of 2000 and 2001, its share of the mobile phone market rose from 30.6% to 33.4%.
