Here’s some good news for you folks out there waiting on the arrival of Palm’s next webOS device, the Palm Pixi. Sprint has just announced that they will be ready to release the Pixi on November 15th. It will retail for $99.99 a 2-year contract (after a $50 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate is applied). Aside from Sprint outlets and their online store, the Palm Pixi will also be available at Best Buy, RadioShack, and select Wal-Mart branches. You can read the full press release over here.
As a quick recap, the Palm Pixi features a 2.63-inch 320×400 touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR support, GPS, 3.5mm jack, and 8GB internal memory. It also boasts of EV-DO Rev. A connectivity, but unfortunately, lacks WiFi. Yahoo! Messenger has also been integrated into Synergy as well as Facebook and LinkedIn support.
If you’re feeling a little bit stingy and don’t want to spend $99.99, you could try your luck at Palm’s contest wherein they’re giving away 25 free Palm Pixi smartphones.
