Along with AT&T and Sprint, Verizon will also be one of the major carriers in the US who will be unveiling a Windows Mobile 6.5-powered device next month in the country.

While we still have no official word on what their maiden Windows Mobile 6.5 offering will be, the HTC Imagio XV6975 could very well be it. Leaked by Phone Arena, this Windows Mobile 6.5-running device is headed for Verizon and is expected to debut next month. It comes equipped with a 3.6-inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, WiFi, Opera browser, 3.5mm headset jack, microSD memory card slot, a 528MHz processor, and is loaded with their custom TouchFLO 3D UI. The HTC Imagio will also be the first Verizon smartphone to support the carrier’s VCast MobileTV service.
No word on its pricing, but given that October’s just around the corner, it probably won’t be long now before we get the official details on this one.
