O2 Pocket Hotspot mobile Wi-Fi device launched in UK

O2 has just launched its very own mobile Wi-Fi Internet sharing device in the form of the pocket-sized O2 Pocket Hotspot. This is similar to a device that Three UK is already offering which lets users share their Internet connection wirelessly wherever necessary. Up to five separate devices can be used to go online simultaneously with the O2 Pocket Hotspot. The top download and upload speeds can reach up to 21.6Mbit/s and 5.76Mbit/s, respectively. The rates chosen by O2 for those who wish to start using the Pocket Hotspot are as follows: 200MB of data costs £2.04 or $3.19 per day, while 2GB of data for costs £15.32 or about $23.97. These are the prices that users are going to have to pay on top of the price for the Pocket Hotspot unit itself, which is currently at $59.99.
