Motorola RAZR i now official with 2GHz Intel Atom processor

The result of the partnership between Intel and Motorola has finally been announced in the form of the Motorola RAZR i, and Android-powered HSPA smartphone with a 2GHz Intel Atom CPU. It will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by default, but Motorola plans on releasing an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for it some time in the future. Its main features include a 4.3-inch qHD screen, 8MP camera, and NFC wireless technology. It will go on sale starting October 2012.

What Else You Need To Know:

- According to Motorola, the RAZR i will ship with a 2000 mAh battery. Exactly how many hours of battery life that can provide for a 2GHz Intel Atom chip on a smartphone has unfortunately not been specified.

Other Sources

The RAZR i bares a strong resemblance to the Droid RAZR M phone announced earlier this month for Verizon. The two devices look nearly identical, though Intel’s model doesn’t support high-speed LTE networks, such as Verizon’s.
