Motorola Droid Razr HD reportedly headed for Verizon without Maxx equivalent in tow
David G (9 months ago)
Rumors about the existence of an upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD Maxx for Verizon have been squashed with information coming from an anonymous source being cited in a report on PhoneArena. Apparently, the Motorola Droid Razr HD is indeed on its way to Verizon for a release some time later this year, but a Maxx version with an extended battery will likely never see the light of day. The same report also says that the Droid Razr HD will be launched with Android 4.0 ICS, but will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean afterwards. The updates are scheduled for a 2013 rollout, however, which is pretty long a wait especially if the handset is going to arrive in October.
What Else You Need To Know:
- The rumored Motorola Droid Razr HD Maxx is a highly-awaited version of the Motorola Droid Razr HD that should feature a higher capacity battery that can give up to double the battery life on the regular version.
- The upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD's main camera reportedly sports a mere 8-megapixel sensor instead of a 13-megapixel one as told on earlier reports.

So, it would appear that those hoping for a Droid RAZR MAXX HD with a large 3,300 mAh battery are going to be out of luck, at least for the time being.
