Acer is joining the low-cost tablet wars with the $169 Iconia A1.
The device packs a 7.9-inch IPS display, more than 8 hours of battery life, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, and the latest version of Android operating system.
The A1 is cheaper than the $199 7-inch Nexus 7 and boasts of the same 7.9-inch 102x x 768 IPS screen of the $329 iPad mini.
Acer also introduced Windows 8-running Aspire R7 slider and the Aspire P3 notebook/tablet convertible.
What Else You Need To Know
- Set to be available as a Best Buy exclusive in the U.S. May 14, Acer's R7 is touted to offer "unmatched audiovisual power" and features a neck hinge that lets the user bring the 15.6-inch display closer for touch.
- Acer also revealed the Aspire P3, an Intel Core i3/i5-powered Ultrabook that can be flipped into a slate with an 11.6-inch HD IPS LCD display.
