7-Inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Unveiled
The Next Web

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab 3, a seven-inch tablet that aims to compete with Google's Nexus 7 and Apple's iPad mini. The device features a more compact design and Galaxy S4-like styling but mostly offers nothing new on the spec sheet: same 1024 x 600 resolution, 3-MP and 1.3-MP cameras of the previous model, and an underwhelming 1.2 GHz chip (an improvement from the 1 GHz in the predecessor but still underwhelming). The Wi-Fi version of the Tab 3 will roll out across the world in May, with a 3G model following in June. Pricing has not been announced.

What Else You Need To Know

  • The Galaxy Tab 3 features a 7-inch PLS TFT LCD display, Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system, support for voice calling, 9.9mm thickness and 302g weight (for Wi-Fi version), proximity sensor for the 3G version, 1GB RAM, 8 /16GB internal memory and microSD card slot.
