Finding a tablet that doesn’t do it all is easier than one that does, and it’s clear early on that the LG G Pad III falls under the former camp because it isn’t designed to perform like a premium device would. With that in mind, and the interesting inclusion of a blue light screen filter to go easier on the eyes, this is a tablet worth considering if you want to keep usage light.

The LG V20 is in many ways an amazing phone. It has everything it needs — premium design, fantastic camera, leading audio quality an even an interesting future-forward always-on display feature. However, even if my experience with the camera bug is set aside, its inconsistent processing performance (including painfully slow boot time) likely mean that this isn’t the device will catapult LG into Samsung and Apple’s realm. Those aren’t gigantic issues by a long shot, but when it comes to operating at the level of those powerhouses, they matter.

Sturdy feel but low-res display, dated hardware and software

LG Tribute 5

from PC Magazine ( )

The LG K7 feels solid, offers good network connectivity, and can run most basic apps for $140. That might have been good enough a couple of years ago, but it's lacking in many departments compared with a lot of the affordable unlocked phones available today.

I never mean to be overly negative in reviews, but in the case of the LG X Power it's really just a case of there being very few positive things to point out. It's a phone that can last a long time, but the user experience is poor and the phone is slow enough that it isn't plesant to use. The display is basically not usable outdoors, and it has a lifeless feeling to it that I didn't think I'd see on a smartphone again. There are just so many better options than the LG X Power in the crowded sub-$200 market, and some of them like the 2015 Moto G are a year old by this point. You simply cannot make a good smartphone by focusing on a single feature, because good smartphones care about every feature.

Excellent battery life, fairly affordable

LG X Power

from PhoneArena ( )

When you draw the line, the LG X Power hits a few home runs: its battery life topped our charts and that’s truly special. The phone will last you two and even three days on a single charge, something that those owning flagships will envy you for.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whether the LG G5 is an aesthetically pleasing smartphone, well, that’s for you to decide. WhatI’ll say is that it is a flagship that can take on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and probably also with the HTC 10. Although these two competitors have arguably manufactured better phones, LG has a removable battery and its Friends modules.

Unfortunately, the modules present a risk: Firstly, the modules are not incredibly good. Secondly, G5 buyers do not know if LG will also offer its Friends even in a year. It could simply end production.

LG X Screen

from PC Magazine ( )

LG X Screen is a good looking smartphone with a not-so-powerful hardware. At this price point, we have smartphones that surpasses the X Screen in all aspects. making it hard to recommend this.

A turbo-charged battery with little to power

LG X Power

from Mobile Syrup ( )

There may be an extremely niche use case for it, though. Perhaps, this could be a dream phone for a person who can’t remember to charge their phone and has very small hands, as long as they don’t make calls, play processing-intensive mobile games or take any photos but selfies.

Worst phone ever put in place of my hand.

LG Joy

The battery dies so quick, even when the screen is off, it's generally a slow phone, all the apps crash and the camera is the worst. Trading it for an iPhone.

I see people banging on there phone all the time like they have nothing else to do. Most have zero personality so smart phones replace that part of there liefs. I have plenty to do without chatting with someone else all day and making my life tolerable. I'm 23 and hate smart phones, I have one but use my LG 441 more, one handed use is perfect. Get one you might have a personality after all. If your a democrat you have no idea what I just said and go back to your cave.

It appears there is confusion as to whether the phone does or doesn't have a digital compass. LG technical staff I've talked to claim not to know what a digital compass is! The phone is totally frustrating. I would not have bought it if I had known it wouldn't work properly. Don't touch it with a bargepole.

My son gets many random texts and calls all the time, but the screen only shows "new message". You have to open it to find out it's spam, which of course deducts minutes. Haven't found a block option either to cut back on the spam.

Verizon customer service said software issues and has to get replaced with Verizon warranty "refurbished"! 19 days later, phone won't turn on at all, completely dead. Very unhappy with phone and carrier! I paid for a new phone, not for testing purposes! Oh and one last thing, phone doesn't come with ear buds!

About LG

Few cell phone manufacturers have received as much attention as LG over the past several years, mainly because they keep coming out with great devices. LG is responsible in large part for turning cell phones into show phones, with sexy form factors, brushed metal fascias and functionality to back up the good looks.

LG is an enormous multinational corporation with 75 subsidiaries throughout the world, but their cell phone division has truly been one of their showpieces. You may be familiar with the “Shine Line” of phones that include a number of shiny flips and sliders that have racked up huge sales for carriers.

By 2005 LG was a Top 100 global brand. In addition to great cell phones, LG is the largest manufacturer of liquid crystal displays.

The company got its start in 1958 under the name GoldStar, making radios, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and air conditioners.
