From Best Cell Phone Company to Worst Overnight.
4/10
It's like reading my own nightmare here.
I also had a $200 hardware credit with Bell as of September. I was told by the agent that I should hold on to it because they were moving to the new 3GS network and I could upgrade to an iPhone. The only reason I did not jump ship on Bell when Rogers got iPhone two years ago, was because Bell was an AWESOME provider. I was thrilled they were getting iPhone....until I called in the day the network was launched and my credit had vanished into thin air...along with the customer service. I
I have been on the phone with Bell for over 5 hours in the last 7 days trying to get an iPhone. I was turned down constantly, even after speaking to supervisors etc. Finally I called in to cancel my service and they told me the 32GB iPhone that I wanted was enroute. I didn't know if I was happy or even more angry because they had actually shipped it out by MISTAKE!!! Regardless, and iPhone at the $299.00 rate was on its way. It was somewhat appeasing.
I got the phone yesterday and guess what? It's only a 16GB. Nice. I just sold my 32GB iPod touch thinking I was getting the equivilent replacement in the phone. It gets even better. They are not willing to exchange it because they shipped the 16GB by accident and I wasn't supposed to receive ANY upgrade.
So, I'm stuck with a phone that does not have enough memory for my files, and have been sucked into another 3 years with them because of their mistake! It was a toss up to live out the 2 years I have left on my contract with a blackberry Pearl that rarely works, or sacrifice another year of my life that I will never get back with Bell Canada in order to get a half iPhone.
I will definitely be leaving Bell when the contract is up and hopefully apple will have released a 64GB by then.
Bell Canada is unbelievable.
