Virgin Mobile is pretty good.
7/10
Although Virgin Mobile isn't the best out there...I believe that their rates are pretty reasonable...especially for a virtual network operator.
However...their phones aren't of the best quality...and they don't have a big selection of phones to choose from. Worst of all...the phones that they sell would have problems.
Nevertheless...the good thing about Virgin Mobile is that they don't have system access fees, 911 fees, and incoming text message fees. I guess this can compensate for their lack of phone selections and lack of plans.
The bad thing about Virgin Mobile is that they don't offer voicemail and call display for monthly plan users. This is detrimental...especially when the caller is an unknown person.
In addition...Virgin Mobile doesn't have great coverage in my area...so there would be lots of problems when it comes to calling or receiving texts in a bad area.
The problem is worsened when duplicate incoming text messages would start coming. It gets annoying...but I guess it's a sacrifice at the price of cheap rates and no "hidden fees".
The customer service that I've experienced is excellent...since I was able to get credit back for the additional costs that they charged me.
Overall...I believe that Virgin Mobile is mediocre...and I certainly believe that they can improve their coverage and system. However...their rates and customer service is better than that of Rogers, Bell, or Telus.
