Very happy!!

9/10

I've been with Koodo Mobile since August 2008 (I switched the SAME day that my contract ended with Bell).

I got screwed with Bell on many different occasions throughout the course of my 3-year contract... put in several complaints against customer service reps (nothing happened from them, of course), threatened to leave (they didn't care), switched plans (didn't really save money) and finally left them when I could.

Here's a kicker for all people looking to switch when their contract runs out... like I said, I switched the day that my contract ended. I bought my Koodo phone (the Samsung U410 - no bells or whistles, just like I wanted!), switched my phone number to it, chose the plan and added features I wanted, and was told to call Bell to cancel my account with them. I did and was told that, because I hadn't advised them 30 to 60 days in advance that I was cancelling my account, they could only have it cancelled 30 days AFTER that phone call, even though I could no longer even use the phone because the number had been switched to my Koodo phone. So, if I would have called 30 days prior to switching out, my account would have been cancelled on the same day that my contract ended, but that would have meant that I wouldn't have been able to keep my phone number with another company.... such morons! I'm so very glad to be rid of them!

My experiences with Koodo have, thus far, been great. I have a smaller daytime plan (I don't need my phone during the day), and added 5pm Evenings and Weekends, Voicemail, Call Display & Call Forwarding, plus something like 100 text messages. My bill is never more than $40 a month. There was one occasion where I noticed that Koodo had bundled some of my features and I would save like $3/month if I had that bundle, as opposed to each feature individually... so I called them and the switched it right away, with no problems at all. I haven't called customer service very often (as I find the online Self-Serve to be quite easy to use), but when I have called, they have been pleasant and helpful, which has proven to be a nice change from dealing with reps from Bell, who usually don't speak English very well.

If you are considering switching to Koodo, I would highly recommend it. No drop calls, good service, good reception. An all-around good company.
