So I'm currently a Telus prepaid customer, but want to switch to something cheaper, and with long distance, without being locked into a contract... The plan looks extremely appealing but I'm now changing my opinion after reading these comments... I am a huge text'r and would hate to not... More
Koodo Tab Illogical

I just wanted to look at the math of the Koodo Tab.
-The Tab starts out at 150
-Let's say you use all of your Tab (150)
-You end up with (-150) in your Tab
How does that work?
If you used all of your Tab you should end up at 0 not negative 150.
In conclusion, Tab=Scam
Besides that Koodo looks... More
Best cell phone provider I've Been With

I joined Koodo when it first opened, and I have had no problems since then. The reception is very good, definitely better than some other companies' reception. The plans are all pretty cheap, and most offer unlimited evenings and weekends, which is a plus. Having no system access fee is a good deal... More

From what I see Koodo is pretty much all about talk and text, but for some reason. None of my friends recieve my text messages. At first I just thought that maybe my buds were away from their cell or something, but when I called one of them, she said she didn't get any message. Then I let her text... More

Signed up about a month ago, the idea of maging the account appealed to as did the "No Contract" arrangment. So far I have not been able to add any services (had to call in to get call display activated) and apparently there is no facility to remove services at all if you are not using them... More
Koodo is owned by Telus

The fact that Koodo is owned by Telus tells me that:
a) the customer service will suck;
b) the fact that they advertise no contracts/no hidden fees means that they'll screw you somehow (re: The Tab);
c) I will never switch over to them from Fido!
I did switch to Telus from Fido because of customer... More

Koodo is a great way to get a cell phone cheap with no commitments. It's coverage is not great outside of populated areas, but more than what I need (it works at most remote fishing lakes, im happy).
I pay $40 a month for unlimited incoming calls, 5pm even. & week., 100 minutes and 50 texts.... More

I have been with Koodo for near a month(May 28th) and tried two of the phones they offer for sale, a Samsung and my latest a KRZR K1m. The reception from both is miserable to nonexistent.
I think at this time I'm going to leave KOODO and go back to my landline phone with Bell.I have had several... More

I've been on Koodo for over a month now and I like it much better than the prepaid plans I used to be with Rogers or Fido. I'm not a big talker, in fact I only talk regularly with a couple close people.
So what I needed was unlimited calling or texting with just a few people and the Fav5 feature... More

100 daytime minutes

Koodo offers great plans with lots of room for customization. I have 100 anytime minutes with persecond billing, unlimited text, voicemail, caller id, unlimited evenings and weekends from 7pm, for a grand total of 40.00 before tax. To get this kind of plan with bell, where I was before, it was costing... More

I have had nothing but problems since I switched too Koodo. I only get about 50% of the text messages that are sent to me. I have phoned them 4 times and they keep saying it works fine. I am not happy and am cancelling with them. the customer service is very poor.

Although Koodo does say that you are on a fixed month contract it fails to also say that if you use your tab you are locked in for awhile. Say your monthly bill is 30 dollars it'll take 10% of yor bill to pay for your tab. Say you used your whole $150 tab that'll take 50 months to pay off... More

Koodo Mobile is a company that many people have been logning for, espically those teens who's parents are too stubborn to get them a cellular phone because of the dreaded "Contract". Koodo mobile is different. Even though the thought of a Telus owned comapny would be less than appealing,... More

It has taken a week and 27 phone calls (not counting the times I hung up because I had been on hold for my entire coffee break) to finally get them to send me a return slip.
Every person I talked to had a different reason as to why the phone didn't work. Most were very pleasant, but I had to get... More
