About Bell
Formerly known as BCE Mobile Communications, Bell Mobility is a subsidiary of Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE), which is no less than Canada's largest telecommunications company. Bell Mobility was actually the first in Canada to establish a cellular network, however they are currently considered to be in the number two spot having just a little under six million wireless customers. You can easily find their products just about anywhere as they market their products and services through a huge network of dealers and retail outlets, which includes their own TotalCom stores. The folks at Bell Mobility boast they have the fastest wireless data network available across Canada covering 68 % of the Canadian population, with further expansions and enhancements expected to come soon.

Bell is a JOKE ... I'm getting the worst service ever, being put on hold for hours, getting billed for things you shouldn't, etc etc etc

I've been with Bell for years (God knows why) and I've been CONSISTENTLY abused. They billed me for charges on my phone that weren't mine, they let an unauthorized user of my account (my son) incur charges on my account even though there was an EXPRESS note not to do so . . . They billed me for charges on my phone that weren't mine, they let an unauthorized user of my account (my son) incur charges on my account even though there was an EXPRESS note not to do so . . . I've had to babysit my bill with them each month because they get it wrong (always in their favor of course) . . . if any manager says they are making a note on your account, it's a lie - they don't do ANYTHING they say they are going to do . . . they don't value my time, I have to continually repeat myself to multiple people who are so inadequate it's ridiculous . . . . some regulatory body should shut them down permanently. Please take this as a precaution - don't go anywhere near Bell

Loyalty means nothing

So I've been with bell mobile for 9 years. And asked for a loyalty plan as my phone was costing me $90 out of contract for 2 gigs of data. They offered me one gig for $60 a month, and their "sister" company has 2 gigs for $50 a month. I had told them to match the price and they would not. So 9 year... More

I had told them to match the price and they would not. So 9 years of loyalty means nothing as their sister company offers me a better deal for just going with them "no contract as well". They are the same towers and everything.... Didn't even have to unlock my phone.

I have found Bell a night mere always. What company does not even have an email that you can deal with them on. There first answer is to try to get rid of you. Bell have deliberately created sales teams of all kinds selling deals the rest of the company do not know about or deny. And the billing, will tell you in two years the $50 bonus you were getting (but never told about by sales) is gone. When the phone 3 year term is up and phones are paid off, they will charge you same unless "you" call them. My son went in to a store (anonymous here local) that sells various options and was told to stay away and basically told him exactly what I am tell you.

I just wish Bell had better signal in buildings and more affordable plans.

Bell does have prices but guess what, so does every major cell company like Telus and Rogers. Won't even talk about Wind because their service is probably worth 10$ a month. The major issue is the Canadian cellphone industry- rules, regulations and the demand of a population which isn't even close to half of the population of the United States which has been known for their great prices and service (In Canada anyways). Bell has always been known for their great Canadian coverage of 99% and is the best quality reception for consumers, business customers, etc. You wouldn't complain about why a BMW and a Mercedes is so expensive because you can literally see it and enjoy it but it's crazy how something like cell service gets so taken for granted, especially if u talked to a Rogers customers. Moral of the story- good quality means more $$. However one thing I will agree with is the terrible customer service. I have had my own issues but I have seen it get a lot better over the years after numerous complaints. Bottom line- if you get promised something over the phone take down the reps name and employee number as a method of confirmation. Also, when having issues or troubles give them a solution rather than dump the problem on their hands, these people are just trying to do their jobs and deal with many difficult customers a day so help them help you. Hope this helps.

Bell doesn't need a loyalty department because they don't know what loyalty means!

I have to agree with the majority of the reviews here. I have been a loyal Bell customer for about 17 years, but I have reached the end of my rope with them. I have to agree with the majority of the reviews here. I have been a loyal Bell customer for about 17 years, but I have reached the end of my rope with them. I started out with my first cell plan of 6GB of data + unlimited talk/text for $70/mth, then I upgraded my phone, and of course you cannot keep your existing plan, so I was reduced to 3GB of data + unlimited talk/text for $80/mth. I have just found out that my next upgrade will reduce me to a measly 1GB of data, but my rate will go up once again... this time to $90/mth!! Paying my bill on time each and every month means nothing to Bell and my loyalty is rewarded with constant rate increases! The big 3 cell carriers need to be regulated by the CRTC! This is getting ridiculous!
