ZTE is slowly working its way up to become one of the best Android smartphone makers in the world. In order to do that, it needs to cover all bases. So apart from catering to the high-end segment, it also builds entry-level products such as the ZTE Merit. And it’s doing a pretty good job at it.
The Merit comes with a whole set of basic Android smartphone features. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA resolution screen, GPS, Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, support for HSDPA data, and microSD card support. And that last one there is very convenient because the merit only comes with 512MB of internal memory.
Android 2.3 Gingerbread is installed on the Merit by default. Though it is no longer the latest version of Android, it’s still very popular and enjoys plenty of third-party software support. That makes the Merit a great overall handset for its price, especially when compared with entry-level models that use other smartphone operating systems.
