Informr score
The Casio G'zOne Boulder currently has an Informr score of 6.1 out of 10. This score is based on our evaluation of 82 sources including reviews from users and the web's most trusted critics.

Casio (in partnership with UTStarcom) has established itself as a fine manufacturer of extremely durable phones with its G’zOne line and the Boulder continues that tradition.

The Boulder is a logical choice for people with demanding professions that keep them in less than ideal environmental conditions. The G’zOne Boulder is military-certified to withstand the elements.

In addition to its rugged build, the Boulder runs at 3G speeds, has a 1.3MP camera, Push-to-Talk, an electronic compass and is wired for V cast Video, VZ Navigator and V Cast Music with Rhapsody. (The aforementioned are services offered through Verizon Wireless and are available for an additional monthly fee).

Regarding the Push-to-Talk (PTT) feature, it’s important to point out that this is a new and improved PTT and should not be confused with the previous PTT offered through Verizon Wireless. People looking at this phone will often be outside and should be aware that the PTT service is considerably better than its prior incarnation.

The Boulder rounds out its feature set with Bluetooth, voice dialing capability, speakerphone, alarm, calendar, video recorder and web access. Talk Time is rated at up to 207 minutes up to 212 hours of standby time.

With the Boulder you can browse the web, send/receive SMS and MMS, take pictures and record video, all without worrying that a strong breeze or a little rain will ruin your phone.

If you need a tough phone, Casio has a solution for you.

It's tough to argue with a phone that can be submerged in water and still make and receive phone calls.

I'm not going to mince words. This phone is orange. Really orange. Like in the same obnoxious vein as the color options for a new Hummer. But if you can overlook this (as I eventually did), then you'll probably enjoy Casio's new G'zOne, dubbed the "Boulder." That's right - this angular, candy colore...

The G'zOne Boulder is military-certified to withstand the elements, plus it has EV-DO Rev. A, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Push-to-Talk, an electronic compass, and support for V Cast Video, VZ Navigator, and V Cast Music with Rhapsody.   The G'zOne Boulder is a beefy, rough-and-tumble cell phone w...
