You CAN silence the phone completely. Go under Menu -> Settings -> Sounds -> Ringers:
There is a "meeting/silent mode" option. That will silence the phone completely from both texts and calls.

I've had this phone for 2+ years now (Koodo), and it's been a great little phone. I have dropped it countless times (i.e. it has a few chips/dents and scratches on it), and it hasn't skipped a beat.

The phone has very poor programming and the signal really sucks. My husbands phone sitting 2 inches from mine on the same carrier (Koodo) get's his calls. 75% of the time I do not get any of my calls, just voice mails 30 mins to 2 hours later--and that is IF the caller decided to leave a voice mail.... Ok this is a great phone for me but I spent like a crap load of money on songs to figure out there is no music player ..... does anybody know how to maybe download a music player on this phone
