It's an ingenious design solution. Innovative ergonomics are nice, of course, but there's both more and less to the Propel than meets the portrait eye

Propel has a great (and hopefully soon-to-be-imitated) form factor, a handy QWERTY keyboard, an above average music player and camera, above-average talk-time battery life, speedy Web access, and plenty of other extras, all for a bargain price. Propel is perfect if you're less a talker than texter and... More

Excellent Internet and messaging features

Overall, Samsung delivers an excellent messaging device with the Propel slider. I like its sturdy build, compact size, QWERTY keyboard and ability to quickly load the mobile web. Most importantly, as a phone, it maintained a full 3G signal for the entirety of my review. I give it a "Recommended" rating.... More

I have to agree with other reviewers: Overall this is a decent phone. The phone is a nice size, and has a nice sliding lock, and a big screen. The caller id is also a good feature, thought that is nothing new on Samsung models (I've had it since 2004 on an older one). I've never before owned... More

Pro: Good design, comfortable in hand and pocket, VERY customizable, durable, you can set it to lock upon sliding shut, AMAZING battery life (about 2 full days for my device)

Con: Middle button goes to Internet. The speaker phone could be a little louder.

Using experience: 3 months

The phone has been a step back from the previous phones that I have had. It drops call like a habit. If it would not drop calls it would be worth it. The other features are alright but the drop calls are just not acceptable. The phone will show bars and people on the other end of the call will constantly... More
