I’ve had this phone for a few months and though I’m not an intensive user I have to say overall I’m pretty pleased with it – except for one problem, and it’s a deal breaker: it only has 150MB (131MB according to the specs) of internal memory, which is COMPLETELY inadequate. This was my first Android phone and initially I wasn’t concerned about the internal storage, I figured I’d just put everything on the SD card. Turns out, that’s not how Android rolls. Some apps can only be run from internal storage, and even the ones you can transfer to the SD card often leave large chunks (in some cases over half the total memory required by the app) in internal storage. As a result you will run out of internal memory after installing a relatively modest number of apps, and once internal storage is full you will not be able to download any more apps or update the ones you already have. This is really a massive design flaw, no doubt done for reasons of economy. Calling this a “smartphone” is borderline false advertising.
If you’re adventurous you can try rooting your phone (this will void the warranty and worst case could FUBAR it), which will allow you to use an app to force Android to move entire apps to the SD card. This isn’t for the feint of heart but it’s the only way I can see to make the phone semi functional for its intended purpose.
A better bet is just get a phone that isn’t brain dead out of the box, however.

I've had this phone for months and am looking for a replacement very soon. Though it is rugged, there are a lot of errors and drawbacks.biggest drawback is the very small internal memory. After a few months, all the stupid Samsung apps that you can't delete update and take up all the space. Sd card didn't help. All the core junk had to stay on the internal memory. Now i get constant low storage warnings and can't have more than 1 app on my phone that needs internal storage at a time. Another common error/glitch I get is screen stays black when on the phone and I have to open the quirdy keyboard and pinch several buttons so the options such as keypad and call waiting. Very annoying. If I can't fix it goes in the trash. Do not buy.

Had this phone for a few months now and at random times it just quits working. It shows full bars service and I can't call or text or receive calls or texts. Fido sent it out for repairs once after months of me pestering them that it didn't work, but they can only send it away for repairs if they can duplicate the problem at the store. This is a huge problem for me since I live 2 hours away from the nearest store. Calling Fido does not help since they refuse to help.

Piece of CRAP. We ordered 2 phones for free as a upgrade in my cell contract 3 months ago. Within 3 days the screen of one was black, my daughter's lasted 2 weeks before it died. Both were replaced. After 1.5 months my daughter's is still alive but mine is dead. We hardly use the touch... More

After 1.5 months my daughter's is still alive but mine is dead. We hardly use the touch screens, I just use the keyboard for occasional texts and calls. I'm now fighting with my cell phone provider to provide another phone.. I don't want another piece of crap like the Samsung Galaxy Q.

I have just received the Galaxy Q as a free upgrade from my cell phone provider. I have only had it a few weeks but I really like it. It has a lot more features than my other cell and the key board for texting is easier. The only thing I am concern about is the screen and being careful not to scratch it.. Watching not to have hard objects in your pocket with the phone.. The other cell I had was a flip phone. Other than that it's good.
