I've had this for at least a year, maybe 2... but I've never had a problem with it. I can hear all my calls, it's never frozen or turned otself off. I've dropped it many times and there are a few dings in it but it doesn't affect how it works and no silver or anything else,... More

I find the Samsung F266 a bad phone because: 1- batteries dies really fast even when it is not being used., does not last 24 hours, since I first received the phone, so I know it has nothing to do with the battery being old 2- I cannot hear well when conversating , cannot make out the words people are... I bought the phone over a year ago; after two months the chrome paint around the main button started to come off; a big chunk is peeled off now.
Some months ago the phone started to freeze. Now it sometimes freezes or it reboots itself. Some weeks ago it started to freeze even during reboots; lately... More

I have not had this cell phone long but in the short time I have had it - it fell into a paint tray of yellow paint; got totally covered in paint and I grabbed it out, wiped it off and it still works just fine.
Basically it will suck eventually

I loved this phone for about 7 mos but all of a sudden....
it locks, then freezes now the pad is un useable. At first I thought it was " user mistakes" and wondered what I kept doing wrong.
Its life is too short and who wants to fuss with fixing it when you can get a i phone. Bye bye sams... More

I'm thinking of switching back to my beat up old sony ericsson.
This phone works okay as a phone, but the interface is a bit like playing atari in 1985: slow and tedious. Whoever designed this didn't think things through.
The MP3 player is fine unless you want to listen to more than one... More

I got my phone last march, and I have been very happy with it ever since. Only now am I starting to see a few glitches appear:
-the battery life has gotten much shorter (it lasts only a day and a half, and I'm not a phone addict)
-when in T9 mode, it often texts in the language opposite to the... More

this phone worked pretty well, until it stared to malfunction. it would turn off and on, it would freeze, calls would hang up, i sent it back to fido and they couldn't fix it, and i am now waiting for it o come back from its second trip to the samsung fixer.
A good phone, but it is only a phone...

I am using this phone for 3 months now and I can say that I was expecting more. It work well as a phone, but if you want more, look somewhere else. The navigation is very slow, and the interface is ugly and too complex for nothing. Using this phone is like using my dad's phone from the early 2000's...... More

I lost my motorokr u9 and was looking for a replacement that I could put my fido dollars towards. There was a limited selection, and I ended up getting the Sony Ericsson t303a. BIG MISTAKE. I called to exchange it for the Samsung F266 and it was delivered the next day. (today)
I love it. It slides easily,... More

I tried and returned LG Neon as the virtual keypad on the Neon is really bad and I could hardly dial a correct phone number.
FIDO doesn' t offer a lot of choices on handsets. I decided to give Samsung F266 a try before moving to another carrier.
What a nice surprise! This little phone is packed... More

I've been using this phone for a couple of weeks now and so far i am very satisfied with this phone. I got this phone from fido about a month ago. I'm extremely pleased with it!!
Pros: Looks hot, very slick and shiny, fits in a pocket, good reception, a bunch of neat features and tools, great speakers for playing mp3 and FM radio, camera is good.
Cons: Scratches easily (I just keep it in the... More

I bought this phone with a fido plan, and so far I am fairly happy with it; however there are some flaws. It is advertised as a music phone, yet there is no shuffle or equalizers or any other basic controls. Once a song is done playing it does not go on to the next song, it just stops playing. Also,... I've had this cell for 1 week now and I am overall satisfied but not particulary amazed. Overall the phone covers all my needs and more; for the price I could not find another with so many features. This phone is AWESOME. It performs very well. The speakers, although I find many other reviews say otherwise, are very loud and clear. The call clarity and quality are pretty good, but not superb. I just started using my samsung f266 yesterday and so far have only a few complaints about it. First of all, for $150 at full price, the phone is great. I have worked with Fido and know that usually to get a phone of this quality you usually have to spend about $300-$350.

I read the "Good Buy - Very Happy.." review and I agree with everything the guy wrote, I have this to add:

There are only 3 problems I find with this phone
1. Battery dies pretty fast
2. when playing music you can't answer texts
3. The original setting on the main screen sometimes turn themselves on and i get a couple extra on my bill
