Combine a world-capable phone with a Blackjack tablet form factor and you get the Samsung SPH-i325.
The Samsung SPH-i325 should appeal to a segment of business customers who enjoy the Microsoft Windows 6.0 OS and Direct Push Technology that sends emails to your device automatically. The overall feature set speaks to productivity, including a PDF viewer, conference calling, voice dialing, speakerphone, Bluetooth 2.0, along with the base feature set now expected on most devices (notepad, contact customization, etc.).
Boasting an impressive 2.3 inch 320x240 pixel display, there is plenty of room to enjoy surfing the net and you won’t need to squint to view documents.
As with other tablet phones, the keyboard is a prickly subject. While the keys are spaced close together, Samsung did play the navigation array above the keyset, so accidently hitting the wrong key while using the directional keys is considerably reduced.
On the left spine you will find an AC adapter/headset connection port (proprietary), and on the right spine you’ll find the microSD slot, scroll wheel and escape key. Having the scroll wheel on the side instead of on the face arguably reduces confusion. The camera lens, self-portrait mirror and speaker are on the back.
Aside from being a world phone the Samsung SPH-i325 is largely Sprint’s version of the Blackjack.
The Samsung SPH-i325 is a CDMA phone by default but it also has GSM support so that you can use different SIM cards when traveling in other countries. Do note however, the SPH-i325 will not work on 3G networks overseas.
If you like the tablet form factor and the Window OS, the Samsung SPH-i325 is one to consider.

I just got this phone and I am really enjoying it. I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer so I had high expectations for Windows Mobile 6.0. I find it a lot easier to use than the Black berry Curve 8330 and has way more software for it. I just got 7 Blackberry Curves for other employees and the... More

Okay, let's make one thing clear before we start out: Apple's iPhone is the handset of the moment - maybe even the next few moments. While this isn't exactly news to anyone, it may come as a surprise (to even the most pretentious gadget hound) that there is a healthy second-tier of business-savvy PDA/phone... More
