falls short of expectation

Hi

Had the phone for about a month now, here is my beef with the pre let me just start that Palm had an opportunity to knock off the pedestal two best phones out there I-phone & Bberry, and it came short on quite a few issues

Lack of led flashing to tell you someone has called or left message, You actually have to turn on the screen to see the info

Lack of set-up icon that all the setting could be acces under one program, you have to go to specific applications to change the phone settings, no short cut to go from loud - to quiet to vibrate

I would like to have more icons on the screen if I have to search for To do icon (tasks) this is no good wall papers are nice but more icons on the sreen for quick acces is a must, and the bigest issue of all is the lack of syncing with desktop especially , notes and to do list that now You have to type manually!! are we going back in time or forward?? i know there are third party software but this should be included with the phone palm desktop was simple and elegant application that would work well with the phone and if one could get this to sync over the internet like the google calendar it would be a dream, I had to set up new account with google just to get my addres book from yahoo it is sick all the good names with google are already taken and now I have another account to manage, screen dose not turn from portrait to landscape as smoothly and easly as shown on the comercials my in some applications dosen't turn at all, also if you are not a big fun of bluetooth good luck finding hands free adapter for 3.5 mm audio input,

Bberry had a nice feture that if you type a phone number in Task or notes it will automaticly recognize it and allowed you to make call from notes,

transfering documents in to the phone also is not easiest most of the time I just e-mail them to myself I had such a high expectations for this phone and I have to say that for the company that had a Iphone ands Black Berry to take examples it came quite short of the task

screen is excellent, most applications are nice but most don't apply for Canada (like food guide etc..)

touch screen poorly responds to fine adjustments try to move to begining of the sentence
